Codes & cyphers,
rewritten for the beach
CoCy first learned to read a dancefloor in the early '90s, deep in the UK's underground jungle scene — a well-worn pair of Pioneer turntables and a bag of vinyl. The name came from that world of codes and cyphers, and it stuck.
Life pulled the crossfader down for a while. Now the passion is back, sharpened by a turn through Pete Tong's DJ programme and pointed somewhere new.
Where jungle was all velocity and pressure, CoCy's sound now leans melodic and hypnotic — long, patient trance built for hot evenings, salt air and the moment the sun drops behind the bar. Less about the drop, more about the drift.
